Mohiniyattam

Mohiniyattam is an Indian classical dance that evolved in the state of Kerala, India. Mohiniyattam dance gets its name from the word Mohini, which means beautiful woman, and Attam, means dance . It is known as "The Dance of enchantress". Mohiniyattam is an elegant classical dance form with 'lasya' as the predominant element and which showcases more graceful, gentle and feminine form of dancing and displays excellence in ‘Ekaharya Abhinaya’ form in other words a solo and expressive dance art complimented with music and songs.

The dancer wears a white or off-white plain sari embellished with bright golden or gold laced colored brocade embroidered in its borders complimented with a matching blouse.
